OUR CLIENT¸ a multinational law firm, is in search for a HRIS Analyst of Payroll. This is a full time, permanent position, located in White Plains, NY. This is a hybrid model role where employees are required to come into the office twice per week. Please see below for the full job description:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Skadden – known for approaching our clients' most complex matters with innovative and creative thinking – is hiring a Payroll Specialist to join our firm in White Plains, NY. In this role, you will support the Firm's Payroll Department in preparing payrolls for all domestic and international offices.
· Computes wages, withholdings, and deductions where multi-state tax laws apply.
· Counsels legal and non-legal staff regarding payroll issues/problems and ensures adherence to financial and Firm policies.
· Investigates and adjusts reported irregularities in pay.
· Organizes, processes, and proofreads time tickets.
· Processes new hires, garnishments, rehires, terminations, direct deposits, vacation advances, leaves of absence and other payrolls on computer system.
· Verifies wage increases and salary dockings.
· Responsible for the expatriate payroll.
· Responds to phone inquiries and salary verifications.
· Develops and runs audit reports to monitor payroll requirements.
· Compiles statistical and audit/edit reports.
· Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.
· Manages Firm resources responsibly.
· Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures.
· Compiles statistical and audit/edit reports.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Knowledge of Federal/State tax laws which pertain to payroll
· Knowledge of payroll processing procedures
· Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Workday), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
· Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
· Demonstrates close attention to detail
· Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
· Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
· Ability to organize and prioritize work
· Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
· Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team
· Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of two years related experience
· Experience working with Workday Payroll and Expatriate Payroll
