    Estelle’s Professional Community Services (EPCS) is seeking an experienced and compassionate Outpatient Therapist to provide individual psychotherapy to adults receiving services through our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program.

    This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys providing therapy to individuals with serious mental illness (SMI), co-occurring disorders, trauma histories, and complex behavioral health needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Some of the sessions must take place in the community.

    Provide individual outpatient psychotherapy to clients enrolled in the ACT program

    Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

    Provide evidence-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed therapy

    Address depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, mood disorders, substance use, relationship concerns, and other behavioral health needs

    Coordinate treatment with ACT team members, including psychiatry, nursing, case management, substance-use, vocational, and housing supports

    Participate in treatment planning and clinical coordination as appropriate

    Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation

    Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions based on clinical need

    Support continuity of care and help reduce psychiatric hospitalization and crisis utilization

    Maintain compliance with EPCS policies, DBHDS requirements, Medicaid requirements, and applicable professional standards

    Qualifications

    Required:

    Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field

    Eligible to provide behavioral health services in Virginia within the scope of professional credentials

    Experience working with adults with behavioral health needs

    Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and communication skills

    Preferred Credentials:

    LPC

    LCSW

    LMFT

    Licensed-eligible/resident or supervisee candidates may also be considered depending on qualifications and supervision requirements
