Perform activities concerned with the design, testing/analysis, and manufacture of electronic circuits, products, and systems for military use. As required, work closely with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of military fuze electronics and specialized production test equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Circuit design using OrCAD and or Altium CAD software. - Interface with program management regarding requirements and status of projects. - Able to work individually or with a project team with minimum supervision. - Design specialized test equipment, if needed, to test designs/concepts. - Perform detailed testing to validate products and/or custom test equipment. - Document activities as required by program. - Requisition development quantities of electronics parts and materials. - Aid production with engineering support as needed to sustain product delivery rates & quality. Key Requirements: - Courses in Electrical Engineering. - Good communication skills - Familiarity with surface mounted components and both rigid and flexible PCB technology. - Basic proficiency in circuit design. - Understanding of PCB layout concepts. Additional Beneficial Job Skills: Basic proficiency in computer languages such as C, JAVA + Visual Basic. Basic understanding of the Linux operating system.
