Job Title: Technical Sales Support (TSS)

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA

Department: Sales

Classification: Temporary, Full Time (6 months to possible permanent)

JOB SUMMARY

This position will support operations for Advanced Chemical Transport (ACT) related to corporate on-site environmental services. The position includes oral and written communication with client representatives, data entry, reviewing and entering work orders, generating and recording shipping documents, Internet research, desktop publishing, scheduling, and annual reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Receive and prepare sales orders given by sales representatives or Clients

· Assist and provide support to sales staff

· Act as contact for accounts under $5K per year (replying to emails, responding to calls, scheduling with operations department, etc.)

· Taking incoming calls and providing pricing for small waste pick ups

· Creating and updating customer specific monthly and quarterly waste reports,

· Prepare and manage waste profiles within EnviroWare software

· Advise sales of order status when required

· Prepare and present ARM on select accounts

· Miscellaneous tasks (prepping marketing packets, creating binders, etc.)

· Assist operations department with preparation of packets

· Handle special projects on demand given by supervisor

· Establish a teaming relationship with each assigned AM and their accounts in order to:

· Free AMs from appropriate administrative tasks allowing AMs to focus on new business sales

· Provide quality communication and service to current accounts

· Receive and prepare sales orders given by sales representatives or clients

· Act as primary service contact for accounts on roster of AMs being supported

· Manage incoming sales inquiries

· Communicate with AMs, Ops and clients regarding: order status, service requirements and any issues pertinent to all

· Follow up on customer issues, deliverables, etc. (post pick up phone calls)

· Review customer invoices (invoicing within 72 hours)

· Sales Force Forecasting alignment with sales including discrepancy analysis

· Prepare quotations for new wastes at existing clients (accounts <$24K)

· Work with marketing on new account proposals

· Availability to work weekends and extended hours as needed

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

1. One (1) year prior experience.

2. Knowledge and understanding of the English language and grammar.

3. Pleasant telephone voice/manner.

4. Ability to operate simple office equipment sufficiently to perform the job.

5. Ability to compose correspondence.

6. Experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION

High school education or equivalent.
