ACTuate is seeking a talented individual inspired by working within a fast-paced start-up environment to join our team in the role of Energy Analyst/Engineer.
Responsibilities
The person in this role will collaborate across multiple teams, working on tasks supporting the project implementation, product/software development, and customer success teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Integrate building IoT sensor data and relevant external data sources into the ACTuation HUB analytics platform.
- Collaborate with the Energy Data Scientists and Project Energy Analysts to standardize semantic data models and automate the flow of data from field collection to analysis.
- Create custom analytical tools and dashboards to automate and scale repeatable energy analysis functions.
- Assist in the development of interactive customer data dashboards and views within the ACTuation HUB.
- Understand the role of all users of the ACTuation HUB in order to drive an attitude of customer success in development of all software and tools.
- Develop the next generation of advanced analytics and optimization software for small to midsize buildings.
- Collaborate in developing and testing of mechanical system and facility fault detection algorithms.
- Perform code reviews.
- Conduct field assessments as needed to assessment with new product/offering development.
- Collaborate with the team to drive continuous improvement in software development practices and product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or advanced degree (preferred) in a technical field related to physics, building science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, architecture, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in energy efficiency, renewables, building science, or related industry
- Experience programming with python, matlab, VBA, or similar.
- · Ability to master and learn a new programming language through a combination of organized training and independent learning.
- Capable of proactively managing multiple diverse projects, adapting to change, and continually following through to ensure successful project completion.
- A strong verbal and written communicator with fastidious attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, working both collaboratively and with a high degree of autonomy.
