Export Shipping Clerk/CSR - Chattanooga, TN Full time, non-exempt position What we do: Southern Cellulose Products, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of ADM, processes cotton linters into pure cellulose pulps and ships these products to customers around the world via containers. The cellulose comes from natural fiber and is used as a raw material to make products that go into construction, personal care, paints, ink, lacquers, automotive applications, and high end art. Position Summary: The position will report to the General Manager and will work with Commercial Sales, Shipping, Operations, and the Customers and will be responsible for order entry, aiding the logistics of export shipping and for preparing the documentation package required for shipments. Open to a candidate that would like to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM on weekdays. Remote work is optional 1 day per week with supervisor approval. Job Responsibilities: Understand and follow Company procedures, processes, and business systems protocols. Work in a team environment with all co-workers to achieve a high level of employee dedication and morale. Review purchase orders and enter contracts. Build Shipping orders and work with Commercial team to secure container bookings and data entry with the bookings. Responsible to help prepare and deliver accurate documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices after vessels have shipped to customer. Develop a keen understanding of document requirements for export shipments to different countries. Update customers and commercial team on vessel changes. Office records manager. Answer phones for plant and commercial office. Back up shipping department and domestic shipments and invoicing when needed. Accountable for additional office projects, as assigned. Position requirements: Associate degree preferred but high school graduate and meaningful work experience will be considered in lieu of education. Accounting and/or bookkeeping knowledge preferred. Good analytical and mathematical skills. Experience with export documentation or container shipments a plus. Digital literacy required, with exposure to Microsoft Office software a must. Strong attention to detail is vital. Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
