    Job Description:

    ADU Geeks is seeking a California State Licensed Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Licensed Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and architectural aspects of ADU projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements, are aesthetically pleasing, and align with our clients' vision.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design Development: Collaborate with clients and project teams to develop innovative and functional ADU designs that meet client needs and adhere to local building codes.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all ADU designs and plans comply with California building codes, zoning regulations, and permit requirements.
    • Project Planning: Lead the architectural planning process and oversee all projects, including site analysis, space planning, and design concept development.
    • Construction Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents for permitting and construction.
    • Quality Control: Oversee the quality and accuracy of architectural drawings and construction documents to maintain project integrity.
    • Client Interaction: Work closely with clients to understand their vision, address concerns, and provide design solutions that align with their goals.
    • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Sustainability: Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions into ADU projects when applicable.
    • Permitting and Approvals: Assist in the permitting process by preparing and submitting necessary documentation to local authorities.

    Qualifications:

    • California State Architectural License is required.
    • Comprehensive knowledge with CBC and CRC code is required.
    • Prior experience with multi-dwelling unit buildings is required.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a licensed architect, preferably with a focus on residential projects.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other relevant architectural software.
    • Strong knowledge of California building codes and regulations.
    • Excellent design and visualization skills.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the San Diego area is a plus.

    Work Location and Schedule:

    • Full-time, 40 hours per week
    • Onsite Monday - Friday (San Diego, CA 92104)

    Compensation:

    • $95,000 - $150,000 / year
