    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is for a Full Time Material | | Coordinator supporting the Weapons Surveillance and Testing Laboratory | | (WSTL). The lab provides Strategic Weapons Systems surveillance testing | | and evaluation of weapon system components.  As directed, the Material | | Coordinator performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an | | understanding of the establishment's storage plan. | | | | POSITION DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS: | | | | - Either Associate’s degree in a technical field or a military | | technical school and a minimum of 5 years of experience or 9 years | | of experience supporting warehouse projects in lieu of a degree. | | - Must be reliable and capable of multi-tasking, coordinating | | personnel and resources for varying, concurrent activities. | | - Must have a proven work history of accountability | | and trustworthiness. | | - Must have basic computer skills and be proficient with general | | software and applications (e.g. Microsoft Office). | | - Must be able to work independently to plan and accomplish | | complete projects. | | - Take responsibility for action items assigned, complete the actions | | and provide accurate and timely status updates as required. | | - Must be able to properly use certain hazardous materials (HazMat) | | (i.e. liquid and spray paints and stencil inks), and maintain | | accurate inventory of and follow environmental policies for the | | proper disposal of said HazMat. | | - Must be able to and willing to work around explosives and hardware | | containing explosive components. | | - Able to satisfactorily complete background check and MUST be able to | | obtain a government clearance at the Secret Level. | | - Comply and follow company policies and procedures. | | - Be able to generate detailed technical monthly reports and be able | | to articulate in writing and verbally (if requested) the information | | contained within the report. | | - Must have a valid driver’s license. | | - Must be able to safely operate a (loaded) 26’ long stake bed truck | | on streets and freeways. | | | | ·            Must have experience verifying materials (or merchandise) | | against receiving documents. | | | | ·            Must know how to operate pallet jack or forklift in | | performing warehousing duties. | | | | ·            Must have experience in storing, stacking, or palletizing | | materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. | | | | ·            Must be able to examining stored materials and report | | discrepancies, deterioration and obvious damages. | | | | ·            Must be able to route materials to prescribed storage | | locations and determine effective and economical storage solutions. | | | | ·            Must be able to prepare material for shipping using the | | specified government quality procedures. | | | | ·            Must be able to rearrange material and take accurate | | inventory of stored materials. | | | | ·            Must update and track material via the provided tracking | | systems, identify any discrepancies, perform research to determine root | | cause analysis, and make recommendations for process improvements. | | | | PREFERRED SKILLS: | | | | - Forklift driver’s license. | | - Computer data base experience tracking warehouse material. | | - Must be able to work with various other personnel as necessary to | | execute job functions, and have sufficient social/ communication and | | problem solving skills to accommodate a healthy work environment. | | | | PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: | | | | - Must be able to lift at least 44 lbs repeatedly above chest level | | as necessary. | | - Must be able to read nomenclature and numbers printed on all | | hardware | | - Must be capable of working outdoors in any/ all seasons, and around | | dust and pollen without a negative impact on performing tasks | | associated with your duties. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
