AdvantEdge Technology is seeking:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Full Time Field Engineer position supporting the AEGIS MK99 Fire Control System responsible for Aegis MK 99 FCS refurbishment efforts and responding to fleet requests for technical assistance from CG and DDG platforms. The Field Engineer position requires extensive shipboard travel and duties include: ORDALT installation, Material Condition Assessments, operation and maintenance.
POSITION DUTIES:
Either Bachelor’s degree in an electronic field or Navy Technical School and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. Or no degree with a minimum of 9 years technical experience supporting Navy systems.
Must be able to read shipboard technical drawing and instruction, have experience with specifications, work statements and ORDALT/SHIPALT instructions.
Must be able to perform mechanical and electrical requirements for ORDALT installations.
Must be able to work independently performing field supervision, complete tasks and provide technical guidance to team members.
Must be able to perform complex engineering analysis tasks including operate test equipment to perform installation, system setup, check-out and troubleshooting.
Must be able to take responsibility for action items assigned, complete the actions and provide status.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.
Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
Must be able to write, speak and present clear, detailed technical monthly reports.
Must have a minimum of three years hands-on experience with AEGIS MK99 Fire Control System and ancillary equipment maintenance and operation.
Must have experience in performing engineering support services such as:
Engineering change installations
Technical assists
Systems certifications
Material condition assessments
ORDALT/SHIPALT installations
