Our client is seeking a full-time Mechanical Project Engineer to join their Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEPFP) team in their newest office located in the Raleigh-Durham area.
They are looking for a team player that is motivated, responsible, and has a desire to make a positive impact in the society by working on a wide variety of project, including high-profile engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects and design schedules (internally) with design fees less than $100,000.
- Lead internal design efforts with the ability to make recommendations on designs.
- Construction Administration and fieldwork 15% of the time
- Involvement in Mechanical Commissioning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university. Master’s Degree a plus
- Professional Engineering License with the capability of licensure in the state of North Carolina.
- 5+ years of mechanical systems, ASHRAE guidelines, and mechanical codes related to buildings and other structures. This includes HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, duct sizing, and piping.
- Strong analytical, decision making, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, exceptional customer service (some client interaction), and interpersonal skills, effective problem-solving, and self-motivated
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- AutoCAD and Revit
- Able to adapt to changing demands and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to field survey mechanical systems.
