    Job Description

    AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Landscape Architect/Designer for immediate employment to help grow our Building + Places design team in our Boston studio.

    Serving the New England region, our growing studio is dedicated to making a difference locally and globally and you will play an active role in our vision.

    Our design practice provides a small studio feel with the strength and support of a larger, multidisciplinary office. We are focused on impactful landscapes that tackle climate change, interconnectivity and mobility, smart growth, and natural systems. Our studio designs a broad range of public realm projects for urban and rural environments, including streetscapes, waterfronts, transit and airport landscapes, parklands, and greenways.

    The preferred candidate will be involved in the design process and assist in preparing documents and graphics for all phases of landscape architectural design, including concept development, site analysis, master planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.

    AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes landscape architecture, urban planning, architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, and master planning. With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture with two years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, with zero years of experience.
    • Experience in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) 2019 or above, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
    • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.
    • Valid U.S. Driver's License, as a conidition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Demonstrated experience with design and drafting software including but not limited to Lumion, InDesign, SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino. Proficiency in other software is advantageous, such as Bluebeam Revu.
    • A positive attitude and desire to partner with a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Excellent verbal, graphic and written and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of plants and best practices for establishing plants in an urban environment
    • Basic understanding of preparation of construction documents.
    • Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work.
    • Possess the skills to generate exceptional two-dimensional and three-dimensional design graphics.
    • Individuals on a licensure track are preferred.
    • Someone passionate about what they do and about building better communities and a steward for the natural world.
