    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking an Architecture Designer II to be based in our Boston, MA office.

    The Architecture Designer will be responsible for the following items:

    • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations
    • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables
    • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups
    • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required
    • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets
    • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project
    • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture plus two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Professional experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Enrolled in NCARB Architectural Experience program (AXP), formerly Intern Development Program (IDP) and actively seeking state Architecture Registration
    • Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC
    • Diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices
    • Ability to clearly communicate with clients and peers
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong technical skills related to visualization, planning, and architectural design
    • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be able to work closely with and collaborate with multidiscipline design team
