Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Stormwater Engineer to provide water quality compliance services to Department of Defense (DOD) clients.  

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THOSE LISTED BELOW:

• Prepare and review Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
• Research, review, and analyze water quality policy and regulations. 
• Support regulatory compliance tasks relating to stormwater management.
• Review and assess storage tank compliance methodologies employed at a facility and provide feedback and creative solutions to reduce overall risk of non-compliance.
• Participate in other environment-related projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 4 years of engineering experience focused on water quality compliance
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that implement the Clean Water Act
• Due to traveling for this role, U.S. Driver's license is required.
• Nationwide travel (50% of the time)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong focus and attention to detail
• Strong writing, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
• Basic knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of DOD management practices as they relate to environmental compliance.
