Job Description

AECOM/Hunt is seeking an experienced procurement specialist to support our ongoing construction projects in the Central Region:

• Performs more advanced to complex tasks within a particular field.
• Under very general direction, purchases supplies and services from vendors at the lowest cost, according to the company standards and specifications.
• Prepares requests for proposals, analyzes quotes received, selects vendors, schedules and expedites deliveries and follows up on invoices received.
• This level is viewed as advanced within the scope of the position.

Summary:

• Additional responsibilities assisting with pre-construction activities for current and ongoing projects.
• Working with project teams within Construction Management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS Supply Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or related curriculum 6 years of procurement experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in the field of procurement or supply chain management.
• Experience working with various stake holders in the procurement of necessary supplies, vendors, etc.
• Experience in design review and value engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Experience in the construction industry.
• Familiarity/knowledge of construction procurement, sequencing, supply chain, etc.
