    Job Description

    AECOM is actively seeking for talented and experienced Portfolio/Program/Project Analysts for employment in our Washington, DC office. These positions are to support the Department of Homeland Security.

    The DHS S&T Hazard Awareness and Characterization Technology Center (HAC-TC) coordinates S&T’s efforts to understand current, emerging, and future chemical, biological, and explosive (CBE) hazards. The HAC-TC provides critical subject matter expertise and maintains enduring scientific capabilities to understand the fundamental characteristics and properties and effects of CBE agents, materials, and related technologies.

    PPP analysts general activities include:

    • Will be required to assist with defining requirements; provides input to project scope, schedule and budget based on an understanding of the program lifecycle. Assist in maintaining changes to project baselines;
    • Monitors deliverables; assess documents, plans and applications; conducts quality reviews of projects and tasks. Prepares presentations and other materials to support project functions. Leads activities to identify project
    • Risks and assist in the development of mitigation plans. Drafts correspondence, reports, white papers, minutes, spreadsheets, communications products, briefs, and other documentation.
    • Maintains and tracks action items, and participates in meetings.
    • Will be required to support the development of procurement requests to include having and applying practical knowledge of the acquisition process as outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation in order to formulate various acquisition approaches.
    • Assist in drafting various documents supporting a procurement.
    • Will be relied upon to provided technical and procurement guidance.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • BA/BS and two (2) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education    
    • Due to the nature of this work US citizenship is required
    • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check; many projects/clients are security sensitive.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
    • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
    • Must possess or be able to obtain Top Secret or Secret security clearances.
    • Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in an indoor/office environment.  Position requires often keyboard/mouse operations; occasionally standing/walking; rarely working with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending/stooping, climbing stairs, repetitive or fine hand movements, and lifting 50 pounds or less.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS and 5 years of experience or MS and 3 years of experience
    • Previous Department of Homeland Security S&T or other DHS Directorate experience
