    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Transportation Planning Manager to be based in Los Angeles, CA.

    _ JOB SUMMARY:_

    The Transportation Planning Manager will work within the Rail/Transit Team in our LA Office on a backlog of program management, planning, and environmental work for various Southern California clients such as: LA Metro, the City of Inglewood, and CHSRA. This individual will assume responsibility for client relations, project delivery, and strategic growth. Completed work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives

    _ JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:_

    • Under limited supervision, performs advanced and/or complex duties demonstrating full use of economic, financial, marketing, planning, accounting, statistical and/or other management science theory and techniques.
    • Applies sound professional judgment in solving a variety of problems and is capable of preparing technical materials to multiple stakeholders (clients, project stakeholders, and internal partners).,
    • Has lead responsibility for transportation planning, system design, and environmental analysis.

    _ MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:_

    • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    _ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:_

    • 9+ years of experience as a Project/Program Manager on a transit/rail project for a major state or metropolitan transit agency.
    • Demonstrated technical ability to lead the planning and environmental clearance (CEQA and NEPA) of a major transit corridor project.
    • Has experience supervising a planning team that covers transit system design, alternative analysis, ridership modeling and environmental scoping.
    • Strong track record as a seller/doer with experience developing pursuit strategies, winning major pursuits and delivering/executing on a complex transit assignment.

    • Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $106,800.34 - $197,580.63.
