Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking an ARCHITECTURE DESIGNER for our Roanoke, VA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations
• Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables
• Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups
• Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required
• Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets
• May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating in an assigned project
• May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
• Experience and career interest in interior architecture
• Work closely with interior designers in building and space planning, interior detailing, and interior fit-outs

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PowerPoint.
