    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Strategist to join our growing Strategy+ practice in Los Angeles. Strategy+, AECOM’s design and management consulting studio, operates at the intersection of Business Transformation, Communications Dynamics and Place Strategies. We are looking for a highly motivated industrial-organizational psychology specialist who possesses outstanding analytical, strategic, and communication skills. The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team of talented consultants and be responsible for supporting our complex, multidisciplinary projects with city authorities and federal governments, academic, healthcare and cultural institutions, and corporations.

    Working as a collaborative team player, this individual will be responsible for providing strategic support on large scale projects, with focus on the application of psychology principles to organizational transformation spanning human resources, change management, and communication strategies for our clients. Our clients are located throughout the Americas and this individual may be required to travel up to 50% of the time.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess Organizations
      • Craft research plans comprised of interviews, workshops, and comparing similar industries and organizations to understand working dynamics and surface opportunity areas
      • Assess organizational capabilities, structures and processes for weaknesses and opportunities based on best practice methodologies and industry benchmarks
      • Demonstrate deep knowledge and expertise in the full change management lifecycle, including but not limited to change planning and strategy development, leadership alignment, communications and engagement, change readiness, training and sustainment
      • Translate research into insights that can be easily communicated to collaborators and clients to inspire solutions
      • Fluency in human resources analytics, and ability to perform data analysis
    • Communicate Insights
      • Visualize and present qualitative and quantitative data to collaborators and clients
      • Facilitate workshops to share and further develop insights and recommendations
      • Help shape Strategy+ and AECOM’s internal perspective on organizational strategy
    • Deliver Solutions
      • Help clients shape and act on change strategies for complex organizational challenges
      • Design tools, methodologies and frameworks that address strategic and organizational issues to foster improved ways of thinking and working
      • Design organizational interventions to encourage collaboration across siloed teams and individuals
      • Create plans to develop the future capabilities, competencies and critical roles required to activate an organization’s strategy
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including but not limited to industrial/organizational psychology, business administration, or behavioral science and 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education

    Desirable Experience

    • 4 years of experience working in organizational psychology, workforce planning, operations and capability development, and/or human resources
    • Prior experience in a consulting and client-facing role
    • Experience designing and implementing effective training and development plans
    • Comfort interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations

Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $87,000 - $110,000.
