    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Design Intern to be based in Kansas City, MO.

    This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.

    • Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.

    • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

    • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.

    • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.

    • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

    Minimum Requirement:

    • Currently attending an accredited university & pursuing a Bachelors in Architecture, Design or Construction related or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    • Must have completed one year of study

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Must be willing to work in Kansas City.
    • Experience with BIM-Revit, AutoCAD, or other related CADD software
    • Experience in the use of computers for making architectural drawings, calculations and 3-D visual simulations
    • A university student that has more than one year of school remaining before earning a degree preferred, these students typically are Freshmen, Sophomores, or Juniors in university
    • Successful Interns may be eligible to return for additional internships

    Additional Information

    • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $18 - $25/hr.
