    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking an entry level BIM Specialist - Mechanical/Electrical to be based in New York, NY

    This position is expected to begin in Summer 2024.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Works under direct supervision.

    • Report to MEP Project Manager and/or BIM Coordination Manager.

    • Assists the BIM Coordination Manager with meetings, clash detection, issue reporting and tracking log creation.

    • Assists with creating and modifying 3D models, renderings and/or animations for promotion, proposals, and logistics.

    • Manage VDC technology initiatives that have been implemented to support project goals.

    • May help to create or maintain standards, processes and goals.

    • Manage electronic file structure on cloud based file repository.

    • Interface between Design Consultants and Subcontracted BIM Drafters.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, Construction Management or similar degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • BIM knowledge/experience working with a large GC.

    • Experience with Navisworks.

    • Experience/Knowledge with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC 3-D modeling.

    • Experience/knowledge with local building and construction codes.

    • Experience in coordinating with architects, designers, clients, subcontractors, etc. on MEP systems.
