Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Water Engineering Intern to be based in Clifton, NJ.

This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tasks.
• Identifies discrepancies in results and proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuant of Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, water resources or related field required
• Completion of second year of qualified study

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-starter and ability to take initiative, proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present ideas
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate and work with a diverse and progressive team
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible while meeting deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and HEC-RAS.
