    Job Description

    AECOM TISHMAN is seeking to add Civil Construction Planning Project Managers with experience in Planning and Scheduling construction projects to our exciting civil engineering project at the New Jersey Wind Port in Lower Alloways Creek, NJ. 

    JOB DESCRIPTION:  

    • Provides overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
    • Provides technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
    • Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

    This position will also support the leadership team to ensure all contract requirements are met as well as interface with subcontractors and clients. 

    • At various stages of the project, this person will provide technical and analytical input to facilitate re-planning, and workflow sequencing to ensure timelines are met.

    • Support various staff with planning and developing construction schedules.
    • Monitor and analyze progress on detailed construction schedules.
    • Reconcile discrepancies from actual vs. planned progress and facilitate an action plan with the project team
    • Analyze repetitive workflows to ensure realistic achievable cycle times
    • Prepare concise monthly schedule narratives
    • Provide monthly metrics and Key Performance Indicators for client/executive reporting.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • BS Civil Engineering/Construction Management and 6 years of experience in the field of Heavy Civil construction or AA/AS and 8 years of relevant  construction experience or HS/GED and 10 years of relevant construction experience.

        

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    • BS Civil Engineering or Construction Management strongly preferred.
    • Experience with various construction processes such as subcontractor management, scheduling, sequencing, submittals, and construction contract administration.    
    • Experience in construction project controls, planning and scheduling.
    • OSHA 10 or 30 
    • Experience in preparing CPM schedules for heavy civil construction projects
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
    • Ability to analyze and synthesize information in a concise manner and to make recommendations on strategies to resolve project issues.
    • Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to apply appropriate communication techniques to various individuals
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other construction related computer programs.
    • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and job-related documents.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability
    • Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.
