    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a SYSTEM DEVELOPER/APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST to ideally be based out of SACRAMENTO, CA. Additional locations will be considered near the closest AECOM office and/or remote.

     

    JOB SUMMARY:

    AECOM is seeking an experienced M365 Application Specialist (with deep knowledge in SharePoint, Teams and the Power Platform) to manage and support key SharePoint and Teams project sites in the O365 SharePoint Online environment. The candidate’s responsibilities include troubleshooting site issues and coordinating with SharePoint developers, Information Technology and Microsoft. The Specialist will analyze user activities, site performance, permissions and document tagging and filing. The Specialist will support, train and guide SharePoint users; update user groups, permissions, sites and libraries; and resolve any issues with system functionality.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee SharePoint sites, libraries, user access, security, and PowerApps.
    • Support the configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of SharePoint sites and associated PowerApps at the site level.
    • Oversee activity pertaining to the support and maintenance of the SharePoint sites
    • Troubleshoot issues promptly.
    • Customize SharePoint site for company purposes.
    • Create or Delete sites by following company’s IT guidelines or in consultancy with Global team.
    • Configure organization-level sharing settings which includes assuring safe sharing environment and smooth flow of data etc.
    • Manage site administration – change or assign administrators for Team or Communication sites to assure the best experience for users
    • Manage and perform SharePoint customization, including custom branding and navigation, search, site collection and content type development etc.
    • Analyze daily user activity
    • Provide technical support for SharePoint and PowerApp users
    • Hold training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint system and tools.
    • Consult with management to devise the most useful ways to apply SharePoint to the business’s goals.
    • Work closely with clients (internal and external) to support various SharePoint sites and their configuration.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Master’s in Computer Applications
    • Should have deep functional understanding of the Microsoft O365 SharePoint/Teams platform, best practice design, architecture and security and its capabilities.
    • Microsoft certification on SharePoint is a plus
    • At least 3-years of experience in SharePoint Administration with the SharePoint application; experience with SharePoint implementation
    • Experience with a Microsoft SQL Server
    • Experience with ShareGate or other migration technologies
    • Can translate technical jargon into layman’s terms for explanatory purposes
    • Should demonstrate specific knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint/Teams.
    • Experience in HTML
    • Should be proficient in the use of O365 Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Servers
    • Experience with monitoring and capacity planning specific to SharePoint
    • Possesses knowledge of best practices for maintaining information security.
    • Handle confidential and sensitive company information responsibly
    • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to work and conduct research independently
    • Experience working with a wide range of client facing stakeholders

    • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $93,000.00 - $170,000.00.
