    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking an Associate Project Manager to work fully remote. The Amtrak ADA Stations Program (ADASP) is responsible for bringing Amtrak stations into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADASP implements design and construction of infrastructure improvements to provide accessibly to Amtrak’s intercity rail transportation system. This position will be part of a Joint Venture (AECOM & Jacobs) that is providing staff and services to Amtrak.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Support Amtrak Program Manager with the implementation of projects at Amtrak stations. Entry level position with opportunity to gain exposure to the design and construction management process.
    • Craft narratives, reports and other professional documents for submission to multiple stakeholders.
    • Serve as Amtrak’s representative to manage and coordinate with external entities such as design consultants (Designer of Record-DOR), Railroads, General Contractors, and Local Authorities. Must be flexible and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
    • Coordinate with internal Amtrak departments such as Passenger Operations, Engineering, Legal, Real Estate and Government Affairs.
    • Coordinate with external stakeholders to include the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Third-Party Entities to include municipal authorities and private property owners.
    • Maintain schedules, prepare reports and presentations, edit specifications, review change orders and shop drawings.
    • Perform ADA site assessments at Amtrak Stations.
    • Prepare scope documents and concept drawings.
    • Travel periodically to Amtrak stations nationwide.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records Review.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Skype)
    • Interest in station renovation, railroads, and passenger transportation.
    • 3 years of architectural, engineering or PM/CM experience.
