The candidate is to be based in one of the following offices: Denver, CO, Colorado Springs, CO; Murray, UT but may be expected to travel to specific project sites periodically.

    Job Summary/Responsibilities
    AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the opportunity to oversee and manage new and exciting projects for a wide range of clients both federal an non-federal. The selected candidate will manage projects primarily associated with an existing portfolio of large capacity multi-year contracts. The position includes working with interdisciplinary technical leads to coordinate the successful capture and execution of projects in design and construction.
    Responsibilities include a proven track record of:

    • Acting as a primary point of contact with a client.

    • Reviewing and negotiating contracts

    • Preparing scope and fee proposals for mulit-discipline projects

    • Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projects.

    • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for capture and execution of projects.

    • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget

    • Defining project scopes and objectives; involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.

    • Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.

    • Managing change and exercising appropriate escalation to management as necessary.

    • Performing risk management to minimize project risks.

    • Maintaining project documentation control.

    • Delivering positive financial metrics including as sold profit, billings and collection management.

    • Receiving positive client feedback in conjunction with Achieving contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contracts.

    Other responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

    • Oversight of project throughout the lifecycle of the project from identification to capture, execution, construction and closeout.

    • Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to internal regional and Buildings + Places management

    • Oversees the development of work plans and organizes project studies

    • Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team

    • Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback for continued improvement

    • Oversee and develop technical approaches and cost estimates for proposals

    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

    • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences

    • Prepare, coordinate and facilitate project meeting: Prepare and maintain the agenda with associated meeting minutes

    • Develop, maintain and track project schedule, project budget and risk register

    • Review Design Documents and Coordinate Design reviews with various stakeholders

    • Manages more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar.

    • Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management

    • Analyzes financial statements, tracks earned value, maintain budget tracking

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements :

    • BA/BS in Engineering or Architecture with + 6 years of relevant experience managing A/E Design Projects or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Minimum 12 years of related experience, and 8 years managing projects

    • Experience managing A/E Design projects for Federal Projects for clients such as DOD, NPS, or DOE

    • Experience managing A/E Facility projects in the Science and Technology Market

    • Strong leadership and communication skills necessary to coordinate multi-discipline teams

    • History of making decisions to drive successful project execution

    • PPM Certification

    • Licensed PE or RA

    • Ability to work in Fast-paced environment and Coordinate with multiple stakeholders

    • Due to the possible nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is preferred

    Additional Information

    • Travel is required for this position.

    • Hybrid work schedule will be considered for this position.

    • Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $145,000.
