AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Science Intern I for employment in our Houston, Long Beach, Orange, Baton Rouge, or Kenova offices. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This full-time position is expected to be May/June 2023, with an expected duration of 3-4 months and estimated 30-40 hours/week.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Science Intern I will support our Remediation team in both the field and office. We are seeking motivated candidate who would like to develop and advance in a full-time environmental remediation career.

Job Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. 
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related
• Must have completed 1 year of study in relevant degree program
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must be able to work as part of a project team comprised of AECOM staff and subcontractors.
• Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects.
• Positive attitude and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative.
• Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Additional Information

• Travel is required for this position.
• Relocation is not offered for this position.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Candidates will be asked to submit to a drug test and Motor Vehicle Record screening upon hire.
