    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a CIVIL ENGINEERING II to be based in our DENVER OFFICE.

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
    • Working within the Transit/Rail group on the planning and design of civil engineering projects including local railroads, roadways, highways, interstates, freight and transit, drainage improvements and utility relocation and protection.
    • Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications.
    • Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners
    • Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team members and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
    • Following corporate quality procedures
    • Effectively communicating (written & oral) with peer
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Additional Information

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)
    • Bachelors from an accredited university in Civil Engineering or a related field
    • Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design
    • Experience with AutoCAD, OpenRoads, Microstation and/or InRoads software.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing and standard office software
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

     

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    • Relocation is available for this position.

    • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $61,000 - $112,000.
