    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineer III experienced with water related projects for an opening in our Dallas, TX office. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work on Water projects that improve and enhance the local communities water supply.     Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

    • ​Support the Project Construction Manager with administration of the Construction Management processes and procedures.
    • Facilitate and coordinate the review of construction submittals, shop drawing, Requests for Information, and Applications for Payment.
    • Support the project team with execution of construction project progress meetings, and support development of progress meeting documentation.
    • Support the project team with maintenance of as-built record drawings and red-line drawings.
    • Manage the development and turnover of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, spare parts, and warranties as part of construction close-out phase.
    • Support the project team with change management activities, including performing material take-offs, support preparation of cost estimates, and preparation of change order documentation.
    • Support the Quality Assurance Inspection team, and perform field investigations and field inspections if necessary.
    • Support the project team with resolution of field issues and field related project changes.
    • Reviews manpower, material, equipment requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
    • Assists with compliance of safety program that creates a safe and health work environment through the job site and adheres to OSHA safety and record keeping requirements.
    • Prepares reports, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
    • Uses current construction management system to perform record-keeping tasks including, composing daily diaries, maintaining project logs and retrieving RFIs, submittal logs and agreements.
    • Provides assistance to construction scheduling issues.
    • Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, estimators, design engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards and that the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Valid Driver’s License is required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5-10 years of construction engineering experience with WisDOT and/or Local/Municipal projects

    • GPS and Survey equipment knowledge

    • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D

    • Familiarity with AASHTOWare Project

    • Familiarity with WisDOT Standard Specifications, material certifications, and FDM

    • WisDOT HTCP certifications including PCCTEC, TMS, Materials Coordinator, Nuclear Density

    • Experience managing negotiated project budgets and schedules

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

    • Registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin

    • Travel may be required within the WisDOT SWR
