Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Public Involvement Graphic Design Specialist to be based in Ohio.

This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Support large-scale infrastructure projects by creating public- and stakeholder-facing project materials.
• Work with engineers and planners to identify how to explain technical project elements and decision-making in an approachable way.
• Supports the growing Public Involvement / Strategic Communications team within AECOM's West Region, collaborating across communications skill sets (writing, event planning, etc.) to contribute to a holistic public and stakeholder engagement program.
• Creation of graphics including infographics, maps, icons generally within specified brand requirements.
• Logo, style guide, and branding element creation for specified projects and/or clients.
• Under direct supervision, performs work that is routine and requires the application of sound professional judgment, using some independent analysis on details of work.
• Utilizes a wide variety of graphics production equipment and supplies and publishing/graphics software, like the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), in tandem with PowerPoint and Word when required.
• Proficiency in InDesign required, specifically use of styles, swatches, page layouts, etc.
• Performs a variety of support tasks in the planning, layout and preparation of project materials.
• Requires work within a team as a "team player" and respond actively / proactively to change and oversight.
• Requires ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and organize and manage files across multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field.
• Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship/green card holder is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience/exposure to graphic software - Adobe suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
