AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to be based in Bakersfield, CA.   This position is expected to begin in September 2023.

• Model and design water and wastewater treatment, storage, pumping, collection, and distribution systems.
• Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
• Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, and details within Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, reports, and schedules.
• Planning, implementing and overseeing geotechnical exploration programs (30% travel/field time)
• Assisting with laboratory testing assignments
• Performing geotechnical evaluations including material characterization, liquefaction, seepage, slope stability, and settlement analyses

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• B.S. Environmental Engineering, and/or Civil Engineering
• Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required. ​​​​​

Preferred Qualifications :

• E.I.T. must possess, or sit for the exam within 12 months
• Basic Knowledge of industry software such as GeoStudio, Texas, Graphed, and AutoCAD Civil3D
• Field/Construction experience; dams experience a plus
• Resourceful, highly organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Effective time-management and interpersonal Skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Additional Information

• Relocation is not available for this position.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $63,300 - $87,000.
