    Job Description

    Are you looking to take your career to the next level? AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Program Manager for immediate employment in Southern California. In this role, you will oversee various project managers to confirm projects align effectively with AECOM’s mission and the goals of the program. The main duties include organizing various programs and activities to improve company efficiencies, building long-term goals for company projects, and developing program and project budgets. You will work in a supportive environment under the direction of the area department manager with various responsibilities, including the following but not limited to: • Ability to analyze and interpret complex policies and procedures related to site investigation and remediation and other relevant environmental requirements. • Manage an array of complex projects in one location that tend to be larger in scope and value. • Create evaluation criteria and method to properly review and assess the strengths of your program and determine areas of improvement. • Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to the agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget. • Direct supervision of project managers and technical staff. • Solve business challenges and provide coaching to team members. • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate less experienced staff. • Conduct peer reviews and share knowledge through internal technical presentations and standards development. Serve as technical lead on projects, confirming approach satisfies client scope of services and expectations. • Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. • Advise local management on growth, staff recruitment and retention, and technical excellence strategies. • Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for in the environmental industry. • Actively involved with clients and supports business development initiatives. • Develop technical strategies for proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • BS in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
    • Minimum 6 years of experience in project management in environmental site investigation and remediation.
    • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
    • Valid Driver’s License.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

    • California PE or PG license.
    • PMP certification.
    • MBA.
    • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER.
