Job Description

AECOM's Civil Engineering Department is seeking a mid-level Highway Engineer to join their team in Newark, DE. This role will support various bridge and highway projects throughout the region.

Duties:

• Design and prepare drawings for Highway and Bridge projects including but not limited to roadway geometrics, Pedestrian Facilities, and Cost Estimate using DelDOT, FHWA, and AASHTO standards.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered during the design process per the agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and technical staff across the company.
• Provide guidance to entry-level staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering and 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Experience working with DelDOT or similar state DOT
• Experience utilizing Microstation, OpenRoads and/or InRoads

Preferred Requirements:

• EIT Certification
• Experience utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoTurn and/or ConceptStation
• Experience using MUTCD and/or Roadside Design Guide
