Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer I to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids.
Prepare design plans (plan views, profiles, sections and details) within Autodesk Civil 3D.
Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Present design solutions to AECOM project teams.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred to visit project sites or clients if public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
Previous experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
Previous work experience or internship with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater or other general civil-related projects.

This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in-office work in Honolulu, Hawaii. The selected candidate must be available to work in Honolulu, Hawaii on a scheduled basis.
