Job Description
AECOM is seeking a talented Roadway/Transportation Drainage Design Engineer to join a dynamic and highly technical transportation team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Chicago, IL office.
As a drainage engineer, you will lead the drainage design on our transportation projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries. You will also have the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for delivering design services to clients.

Responsibilities:
Roadway drainage design
Bridge/culvert hydraulic analyses
Scour analysis
Erosion and sedimentation control
Other related design tasks
Plan production and development of bid sets
Coordinating with other disciplines
Obtaining permits required from regulatory agencies.
Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub-consultants in the various assignments.
Qualifications
_ Minimum Requirements:_
BA/BS + 6 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Must have valid driver's license.
_ Preferred Qualifications:_
Illinois PE license highly preferred
8 + years of experience designing highway/roadway systems, drainage systems, and traffic control plans
Experience with GeoPak Drainage, SWMM, HY-8, and HEC Programs
Experience with design software including MicroStation and GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads
Experience designing highway/drainage systems
Experience managing multidisciplinary project with sub-consultants
Familiar with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, Project) is a plus
Experience with drainage projects in Edwards Aquifer Zone and Water Quality Plans
Experience with SUDA
Design of drainage system in coastal environment
Experience in preparing CLOMR/LOMR and Coordination with Local Flood Plain Administrators/Agencies
Related experience and certification including Schematic Development, Roadway Design, Hydrologic Studies, Roadway Hydraulic Design, Bridge Hydraulic Design, Storm Water Pump Station-Hydraulic Design, Bridge Scour Evaluation and Analysis, Coastal Hydraulic Design, Riverive Hydraulic Design, and FEMA Regulations and Permits
Experience with Business Development/Client Relations
Experience with Illinois DOT proposals and interviews
Experience with managing people at various experience levels and ability to mentor with their career development
Good communication skills
