    The Entry Level Construction Management Analyst will be part of a small close-knit team and will be required to assist senior analysts with their respective regions and assignments across market sectors that range from commercial office towers in NYC (One Vanderbilt) to major sports complexes in Los Angeles (Intuit Dome). Analysts are problem solvers who work to gather robust information and data to inform business decisions of project teams and executives that influence the minimization of risk and the maximization of opportunity. Analysts are dynamic because the problems they work to solve vary in each instance, and they must be able to work cohesively with varying ranges of personnel to produce strong work product.As an Entry Level Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for tracking prospective bid opportunities, bid preparation and review, tracking and participating in business deal development, contract summarization, project budget development, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) development and review, internal cost forecasting, and monitoring key project deliverables including key financial metrics throughout the construction process. You will be involved, then, in projects from their conception through their completion. You will act as a liaison in each step of the process with executives, senior management, project team members, finance, legal, risk management, and senior analysts; you will plan, schedule, coordinate, prepare for, run, and distribute minutes for review meetings that will include these groups. You will occasionally need to coordinate preparatory and review meetings themselves at project field offices around NYC and other regions as needed.

    Focus areas will include (but not be limited to):

    • Analyzing financial reports and identifying financial risks
    • Development and monitoring of GMP budgets and General Conditions
    • Contract risk analysis and recommendations
    • Business process improvement / Lessons Learned
    • Act as liaison between multiple Company Departments and Operations Specific Responsibilities
    • Evaluate business development data for regional business units by market sector and prepare related analyses for monthly management meetings
    • Manage the Risk Committee pursuit process for new projects: Identify and review financial, legal, schedule, and other construction risks related to proposals for new projects
    • Assist in preparing fee proposals for those projects as required
    • Prepare and review Guaranteed Maximum Price submissions to Clients
    • Manage the Risk Committee monitoring process for existing projects
    • Compile and analyze monthly reports that evaluate operations, financial, legal, and schedule performance
    • Actively participate in monitoring by tracking key issues and action items, analyzing profitability potential, working with project teams to reforecast as necessary, and recording meeting notes
    • Perform project related audits as requested by senior management
    • Build financial data models and presentations to forecast and track internal project related costs Forecast revenue and gross margin by business line, region, and project
    • Analyze market research / compile historical data

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University
    • Due to the nature of work, US citizen is required.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in the construction management / real estate industry

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
    • Internship experience in the construction management, architecture / engineering, or real estate industry (including real estate finance)
    • High comfort level with quantitative analysis but also proficient in qualitative writing skills
    • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adhere to deadlines
    • Self-starter and commitment to detail
    • Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers, and to accomplish all tasks with minimal oversight
    • The ability to work cohesively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver a strong work product
    • Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.

    • Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  The hourly range for this position is $32.11 - $56.19.AECOM is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits program to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
