Job Description

AECOM HUNT is seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager with demonstrated construction project management experience for our project site location based at JFK Airport, NY area.

• Under moderate supervision assists the Project Management team with management administration on a moderate size and scope project, or a portion of a large size and scope project, following set guidelines for completion of tasks. 
• Employee receives moderate to limited supervision working from objectives set by supervisor. Employee organizes and carries out most assignments in accordance with standard practices, instructions, or previous training. Employee handles some unusual situations independently.   
• May interface with design team. 
• May work closely with BIM team and use modelling software. 
• May interact with Superintendents to address project questions/issues. Assists with and monitors change orders 
• May assist with regulatory compliance and financial reporting 
• Review project costs and scheduling to ensure completion of project within budget and in conformance with contract. 
• Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate 
• Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed 
• May provide technical direction and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BS Construction Management/Civil Engineering and 2 years of experience working as an Assistant Construction Project Manager or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in punch list completion
• Experience overseeing multiple projects from preconstruction through to final closeout.
• Experience executing successful negotiations with subcontractors regarding price and payment terms.
• Ability and experience in reviewing engineering drawings, RFI’s and submittal cycles, site conditions, scheduling.
• Proficiency in Procore, CMiC, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, PlanGrid.
• OSHA 30.
• Experience in construction estimating.
• Experience in Civil / Sitework
• Experience in forecasting labor, management and material costs. 
• Offered rate of compensation (New York City only) will be based on individual education, qualification, experience and work location. The salary range for the position is $36.70/HR - $67.89/HR (non-exempt).
