    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Transportation Department Manager in Fort Worth. The ideal candidate is a Seller-Doer supporting the growth initiatives of the Surface Transportation (ST) Division in their area; works hand in hand with the Division Manager to execute and achieve the goals in the Strategic Plan, support the business growth; represents the Department in operational excellence, project performance, and providing the leadership in developing professional growth of the staff under their purview.

    Responsibilities

    • Be both internal and external face of the Department within the ST Division.
    • Actively engage with clients to understand needs.
    • Responsible for delivering Wins and Bookings goals for the Department and help deliver Plan for the ST Division.
    • Work with ST Divisional Leadership to ensure that the best capture manager and project manager is being proposed on all pursuits.
    • Have active engagement on all pursuits (Top Opps and Must Wins) for the Department.
    • Provide the necessary assistance in all aspect of Business Development when requested, across the ST Division and the Transportation Business Unit (TRA).
    • Serve as Project Manager, Deputy Project, and/or Subject Matter Expert on various projects across ST and TRA.
    • Ensure AECOM’s performance on projects within the Department’s portfolio is in good standing.
    • Actively monitor KPIs and take necessary actions to deliver plan.
    • Collaborate with other Department Managers to ensure a balanced work force through Workshare opportunities, including staffing Design Build pursuits and projects.
    • Take corrective actions necessary to run an efficient Department
    • Accountable for the financial performance of the Department
    • Provide the Leadership necessary to execute upper management’s vision and directives
    • Review and prepare reporting as requested by the Division Manager
    • Collaborate with fellow Department Managers to execute management’s vision and directives.
    • Actively engage on the hiring plan
    • Be proactive in the professional development, mentoring, and retention of staff.
    • Continual promote a culture of Safety and other AECOM values.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
    • TXDOT experience

    Preferred Requirements

    • TXDOT project management experience
    • Proven track record of winning TXDOT work

    Additional Information

    Offered rate of compensation in Texas will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000.
