    Job Description

    AECOM is looking to build upon a Building + Places business line design studio in the Salt Lake City area with a focus on transportation, urban planning, and campus planning by hiring a talented, motivated Landscape Architect Designer. Remote options available.

    This is an opportunity to join our Studio Lead in the growth of an Urbanism + Planning group within an already established, Utah-based multi-disciplinary business lines in Transportation, Water/Wastewater, and Environment. Bolstered by our strong Denver-based landscape and planning studio, and our greater West Region practices with presence from Hawai’i to Ohio, this role will work closely with the Studio Lead in project execution, mentoring, training, and developing junior staff, and client relationship management.

    The studio will focus on high-performing landscapes that are responsive to climate change, interconnectivity and mobility, smart growth, ecological systems, and natural resources, amongst others. This practice will design a broad range of urban public realm projects including streetscapes, parks, ecological restoration, and green infrastructure. We are looking for a passionate leader who is energized by growth, opportunity, and a collaborative design environment that engages colleagues, clients, and the communities we serve.

    The Urbanism + Planning group within our Buildings + Places Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Designer/Planner for immediate employment in the Murray, UT office. This position can also be worked from a remote location. The candidate will serve on multi-disciplinary planning projects, as part of a team, developing creative and innovation solutions to address the Client’s challenges.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BA/BS Architecture, Landscape Architecture or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Requirements

    • Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, urban and regional planning or related field
    • 6 years’ experience preferred and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in the AE Industry
    • Professional registration as an architect or landscape architect
    • Professional experience utilizing ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Sketchup Pro, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) required
    • Exceptional writing, research, analysis and communication skills
    • Positive outlook and can-do attitude approach to tasks and teamwork
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities
    • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
    • Efficient and organized worker with a high level of attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams
    • Apt at developing creative and innovative graphics and project layouts
    • Ability to manage discrete project tasks as required

    • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States and compensation data will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the stated range.
