    Job Description

    AECOM Transportation is seeking a mid-career Track Engineer to join their Greater Pennsylvania team. Focus will include transit and freight projects on a national level.

    Job Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Serve as an AECOM track task lead on planning studies, design studies, and final design projects
    • Work collaboratively with other team members
    • Serves as a track design engineer in projects of various phases and scales
    • May serve as technical advisor for team
    • Supports track and civil discipline leads in major infrastructure projects
    • Participates in technical specifications writing
    • Provides support to PM and DPM staff
    • Ability to interpret standards from various public and private entities across the United States.
    • Demonstrate technical experience in track design and understand the utility requirements surrounding track.
    • Perform quality control review of design calculations and drawings
    • Coordinate tasks, provide leadership to, and mentor junior level engineers.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field + 6 years of industry or related experience in transportation design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Experience with OpenRail, Bentley Inroads, and/or AutoCAD Civil3D

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Professional Engineer’s License
    • Experience designing transit and transportation infrastructure
    • Experience leading tasks and delegating work
    • Advanced proficiency with OpenRail, Bentley Inroads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Ability to prepare engineering design and schematic plan sets for transit or rail
    • Ability to coordinate with other design disciplines that are part of the whole design team
    • Ability to interpret and use appropriate design standards
    • Experience designing transit and transportation infrastructure

    Additional Information

    • Relocation is available for this position.

    • Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (PA locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $95,000-$130,000.
