Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to be based in Oakland, California.

This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of science alternatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
• Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of CADD and industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation).
• Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Additional Information

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
• Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $23.23-31.94/hr.
