    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a talented **Electrical Engineer / Rail &Transit **to join our World Class Rail Team in Boston or Chelmsford MA. Here you will serve as technical resource and will be part of multidisciplinary team required to deliver complicated passenger rail and transit facilities, including bus, track, systems, structures, tunnels, stations, and potentially maintenance and storage facilities and/or capacity expansion.     Responsibilities & typical duties;

    • Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
    • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
    • Will work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and simple tests.
    • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
    • Identifies discrepancies in results.
    • Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
    • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
    • Perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design
      elements for engineering works.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements;

    • BA/BS Electrical Engineering + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Qualifications;

    • PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months of start.

    Exempt Position Offered rate of compensation (Massachusetts locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $87,000.- $128,000.
