Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer II to be based in our New York office.

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the following items:

• Performs field inspections for transit facilities and private clients
• Leads a team of engineers on field investigation tasks
• Prepares inspection reports identifying deteriorations in existing construction
• Proposes approaches to reinforce and repair deteriorated structures
• Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of tasks leader
• Gathers and correlates engineering data using established procedures
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations
• Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• BA/BS in Structural Engineering plus two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Professional experience using AutoCAD or Micro-Station

Preferred Qualifications :

• 4 years of experience performing field inspections for transit facilities
• Experience working in the New York market
