We’re one global team over 50,000 strong driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.The AECOM Remediation Practice is seeking a Geologist/Environmental Scientist to join our Remediation team based in Clifton, New Jersey.  We are seeking candidates who wish to pursue a career in geology/environmental science, specific to environmental assessment and remediation projects.This is a field-base role comprising approximately 80% field work and 20% office-based work. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about environmental remediation and will join a large established team conducting environmental assessment and remediation projects across the region. Note this role may require travel outside of the region (from days to weeks) to support projects as needed across the United States.Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:Performing routine fieldwork working under close supervision from project managers. Field work may include soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling, drilling oversight, operation and maintenance of remedial systems, and remedial construction oversight including subcontractor management.Participating in site visits and coordinating and assisting field staff as required.Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.Develop knowledge of job-specific federal, state, and local laws and regulations and assigned job specifications.Collecting and analyzing data under the supervision of experienced project managers.Proposes appropriate analytical methods and techniques. Assists in providing advice and consulting services within scope of scientific knowledge. Preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.Attending meetings and reporting on project tasks as needed.

    Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid Driver's license with a good driving record. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS in Geology or Environmental Science2+ years working in the environmental remediation industryOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certificationField experience including subcontractor oversight.Excellent written and spoken communication skills plus a positive attitudeOrganizational and time management skillsFlexibility to work on a range of projectsThe ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and have the capacity to work both independently and as a part of a project team.Additional Information:Sponsorship is not available for this position.Relocation is not available for this position Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
