Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer in Atlanta, GA. The Commissioning Engineer will support new construction building commissioning and existing building retro-commissioning projects. This person will grow under a senior commissioning agent. The candidate will interface with both design and construction professionals as well as Clients, trade contractors, and operations and maintenance staff. Position requires 100% onsite presence during the installation, startup, and functional testing of building systems, controls and enclosure elements.
This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
· Possess project specific knowledge of the program’s commissioning requirements as defined in the project specifications and commissioning plan.
· Assists manager with overall project including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.
· Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the design phase, construction phase, testing/training phase, warranty phase activities, final commissioning report and personnel under his/her direction.
· Performs commissioning reviews of construction documents.
· Attends and actively participates project coordination meetings.
· Leads field commissioning coordination meetings.
· Records and distributes commissioning coordination meeting minutes.
· Reviews shop drawings and equipment submittals.
· Develops Pre- functional Construction Checklists
· Develops Functional Test Procedures
· Performs Construction/Installation Observations
· Evaluates equipment and building control/SCADA system installations with respect to contract
· documents and industry standards
· Evaluates equipment and building control system installations with respect to the construction schedule
· Collaborates with construction manager, A/E, trade contractors, vendors and test agency on building enclosure installation, quality, and acceptance testing.
· Provides detailed daily construction observation reports or as required when working on a project location
· Assists in the Training of Facility Operators on Building Systems
· Witnesses and reports on piping hydrostatic testing, duct air leakage testing
· Witnesses Startup Procedures
· Performs Functional Test Procedures
· Assists in Troubleshooting

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with one (1) plus years of mechanical, electrical and plumbing building systems design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• U.S. Citizen
Additional Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HVAC systems related field experience, which includes experience and skills in Commissioning Field and Office Activities, HVAC System installation.
• Work experience with building control systems, equipment controls and sequence of operations.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit experience
• Experience in commercial, hospitality, education, hi-rise buildings
• FE certification
• CxA certification
• LEED accredited professional
