    Job Description

    AECOM’s South Carolina Water Resources Group is currently seeking a highly talented Water Resources Engineer. The appropriate applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career as a resourceful civil engineer with a focus in stormwater management and have experience specifically working in a design capacity as a Civil Engineer and/or Project Engineer with stormwater focus in the following areas:

    • Hydrology & Hydraulic Analysis
    • Water Resources Planning
    • Stormwater Design & Engineering
    • Stormwater BMP, LID and GI Planning
    • Port and Coastal Engineering
    • Wetland Delineation & Planning
    • Water Quality Control

    The ideal candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

    • Technical execution of stormwater management projects including assessments, reports, conceptual designs, permitting, preparation of construction documents including specifications and cost estimates, presentations to clients and stakeholders, construction management and oversight, and project management.
    • Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior level engineering & design/drafting technical staff.
    • Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions and lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations.
    • Develop small to large planning and design projects from inception to completion.
    • Prepare, review and approve water resources modelling, planning, finance, design and build documents, technical memos, project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
    • Perform quality control review of project deliverables including design calculations or drawings.
    • Work with relevant software in the industry.
    • Serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of AECOM.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental or water resources engineering or other related field required.
    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
    • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • PE Certification in South Carolina or ability to register by reciprocity.
    • Project Management experience.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
