    Job Description

    AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Civil Engineer IV , to join our Rail & Transit team, located Oakland, CA.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead execution of significant rail/transit project delivery under supervision.
    • Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation project teams.
    • Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by expertise.
    • Participates in interdisciplinary review of projects deliverables.
    • Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
    • Prepares technical specification sections
    • Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
    • Establish relationships with local agencies and be a visible leader/trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally.
    • A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

    • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Over 10 years of experience in leading engineering projects with project management experience.
    • BS in Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • PE in the state of California or ability to obtain registration within 6 months.
    • Ability to create grading plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads or OpenRail.
    • Familiarity with plan/profile creation for rail and highway projects.
    • Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.
    • Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.

    • Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $170,000.
