    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a BIM Specialist for our innovative and growing Digital Solutions team in Columbus, OH.

    As a Design Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting project teams through the application of BIM technologies. The Design Technology Specialist will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools, and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout project delivery.

    Responsibilities :

    • Works under limited supervision.
    • Provides training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system, which provides 3D models using project specifications and content.
    • Direct project support and production to assigned projects and create the drawings as required using the standards and content to meet the job requirements (objects within the drawing, doors, lights, etc.)
    • Provide training and technical support to design staff on Building Information Modeling systems
    • Act as a support resource for core design technologies
    • Can be a resource and team member in all phases of the project
    • Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques
    • Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies
    • Utilizes specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis and/or optimization for architectural and engineering designs
    • Ability to self-manage and deliver assigned tasks, projects and group initiatives in an efficient manner
    • Ability to delegate tasks to team members and lead BIM scope on projects
    • When and where applicable, coordinate support between external vendors and internal staff
    • Support efforts in development, testing, and implementation of design tools and services
    • Support the development and implementation of interoperability workflows between various design applications/platforms
    • Create and review Design Technology learning materials

    Minimumn Qualifications:

    • BA/BS + 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Additional Information

    • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $80,000
