    Job Description

    SUMMARY

    The Account Manager maintains active accounts and expands relationships with strategically important large customers. The Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services assigned to customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.

    OPERATIONAL ALIGNMENT

    The Account Manager reports to the VP of Client Solutions and enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, operations, quality, and other sales and management resources as needed. Coordinates company executive involvement with customer management. Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Operate as the lead point of contact for strategic accounts
    • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned client accounts.
    • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives
    • Lead solution development efforts that best address client needs
    • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including Executive and C-level
    • Assist in the development cost models and solutions to support sales efforts
    • Submit detail proposals reflective of the requirements mentions in the RFP, RFQ, or RFI’s
    • Attend and manage presentations to support business development goals
    • Conduct strategic account reviews (QBR’s) regularly to review service needs and usage trends
    • Assist in the development of cost models and solutions to support sales team
    • Assist with marketing initiatives (web design, social, market penetration, advertising)
    • Attend trade shows to support business development and marketing goals

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Proficiency with MS Office (particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Must have expertise in understanding of numbers and explaining the data in a usable form to the client
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential
    • Proven client interfacing relevant work experience
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
    • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
    • 2-3 years logistics experience required
    • Up to 50% travel required
