AFC Urgent Care is a full service urgent care with two suburban locations. We are looking for a PRN/as needed Medical Assistant to help provide staffing coverage. The minimum expected shifts for this position is 2-3 shifts a month or more if needed based on clinics needs.

General Accountabilities

Perform administrative tasks, such as bookkeeping procedures and insurance claims processing.

Establish and maintain patient records.

Perform clinical tasks, including sterilization techniques, specimen collection, diagnostic testing, vital signs, injections, and patient care.

Communicate with patients regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, community resources, and physician instructions.

Assist with patient procedures and in-office surgical procedures.​

Front desk duties to be assigned as well.

Basic Requirements

Current CPR Certification

High School diploma or GED

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program, and have received certification.

At least 2 years of clinical experience
