  • Responsibilities

    Cambridge International Systems has an opportunity for a Cyber Security Incident Response Technician position based out of Houston, TX. A Public Trust clearance is preferred for this position. This project provides information technology security management and technical services in support of the Johnson Space Center (JSC) and White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) IT Security Program. Products and services will contribute to the implementation of a robust, flexible, and forward leaning IT security program that seeks to meet the needs of a highly technical and innovative JSC/WSTF organization, while adapting to a constantly evolving technology, governance, and threat landscape.

    A successful candidate will:

    • Apply technical knowledge and expertise in Cybersecurity Incident Response
    • Analyze security tool data and system alerts to track and resolve security incidents
    • Respond to SOC-generated trouble tickets in response to system alerts
    • Collaborate with center-wide technical POCs to resolve security-related issues
    • Recommend corrective actions to address identified deficiencies
    • Work with a team to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel
    • Report to the supervisor periodically on individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks, work processes, and individual training needs

    Required Skills

    • US Citizenship required
    • 1-3 years of experience in networking, systems administration and/or Cybersecurity
    • Technical IT knowledge of multiple Operating Systems to include but not limited to Linux, Unix, and Microsoft products
    • Basic knowledge of intrusion detection, vulnerability management, application scanning, firewall management, and log management/analysis tools
    • Must be customer oriented with the ability to communicate with various levels of management and administrators
    • Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills
    • Security+ or GSEC certification preferred; GCIH, CEH, or equivalent certification is preferred

    Required Experience

    • 1-3 years of experience in networking, systems administration and/or Cybersecurity
    • A Public Trust clearance is preferred.
